Job summary

Lumen Technologies is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to support planning and execution for custom network migration programs across multiple teams. The role emphasizes developing migration plans, managing dependencies, sizing risks, and ensuring customer commitments while balancing operational priorities.

The position is a fully remote role available from anywhere in the US, with a typical Monday-through-Friday, 8:00-to-5:00 schedule.

Qualifications

Experience supporting telecommunications, network migration, infrastructure, or transformation programs.
Knowledge of network planning, implementation, and operations.
Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in complex environments.
Customer-facing experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Knowledge of project management, reporting tools, and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

Migration Planning & Execution: Develop and maintain migration plans, schedules, and roadmaps.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Planning, Engineering, Construction, Implementation, Operations, vendors, and customer-facing teams.
Reporting & Program Support: Maintain migration trackers, metrics, and status reporting; provide forecasts and updates.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate migration plans, risks, and requirements; support governance activities.
