Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to lead migration planning for Custom Network migration programs. This fully remote role calls for coordinating across Planning, Engineering, Construction, Implementation, Operations, vendors, and customer-facing teams to develop plans, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks.

You will monitor schedules, provide forecasts, support executive reporting, and engage with customers to communicate plans and issues.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting telecommunications, network migration, infrastructure, or transformation programs.
• Knowledge of network planning, implementation, and operations.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain migration plans, schedules, and roadmaps.
• Support route prioritization and execution activities.
• Identify dependencies, constraints, and readiness requirements.
• Coordinate activities supporting network migration delivery.
• Facilitate issue resolution and stakeholder alignment.
• Participate in program reviews and governance activities.
• Identify, track, and mitigate risks to migration schedules and customer commitments.
• Support resolution of planning, implementation, capacity, and operational issues.
• Escalate critical concerns and recommend corrective actions.
• Communicate migration plans, schedules, risks, and requirements.
• Support customer meetings, planning reviews, and issue resolution efforts.
• Support occasional overnight customer migrations.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain migration trackers, metrics, and status reporting.
• Provide schedule forecasts, risk assessments, and program updates.
• Support executive reporting and continuous process improvement initiatives.
