Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in City & Regional Planning or related field with eight years of progressively responsible management experience in public-sector planning or comparable private-sector practice; at least three years in a supervisory role.
• AICP certification required within 1 year of employment.
• Thorough knowledge of zoning, subdivision and land use law.
• Experience presenting staff recommendations to planning commissions or governing bodies.
• Experience leading comprehensive or long-range planning work.

Responsabilités

• Supervise staff and manage daily operations to meet review timelines.
• Administer zoning and development ordinances citywide and ensure consistent staff interpretations.
• Coordinate inter-departmental efforts on development applications and enforcement.
• Guide and manage current planning activities including zoning changes, variances, site plans, and subdivisions.
• Provide case management and support for the development review process.
