Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Senior Planner - Smelter in Claypool, AZ. The role oversees the division planning function, supervises planning staff, and collaborates with front line Supervisors to ensure effective job planning, scheduling, and reporting.

Responsibilities include budgeting, runtime forecasting, materials management, and safety compliance across maintenance activities. The position requires strong leadership, extensive SAP experience, and the ability to drive planning excellence

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 8 years of progressive maintenance experience in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations, including leadership roles.
• Associate degree with 6 years related field maintenance in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations, including leadership roles.
• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of progressive maintenance experience including supervisory or lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the division Planners and other planning department staff.
• Set meaningful objectives for the division Planners and maintain effective relationships with front line supervisors.
• Oversee planning/scheduling processes to ensure daily, short-term, and long-range planning.
• Drive Runtime Forecasting with monthly plans, stakeholder reconciliation, and plan-versus-actual analysis.
• Prepare division planning budget recommendations and monitor costs and materials management.
• Spend time in the field reviewing job preparation, execution, and follow-up.
