Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with five years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with three years in Electrical or Instrumentation engineering.
• Ability to specify and select instrumentation.
• Budget preparation, monitoring, and administration skills.
• Knowledge of multiple communication platforms and protocols: Hart, Devicenet, Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet-IP, Profibus DP, Profinet.
• Knowledge of network, PLC or DCS hardware and software, and HMI.
• Experience with installation, calibration, and maintenance of process instruments.

Responsibilities

• Specify and select instruments following company standards and requirements.
• Design the maintenance plan of instruments and develop spare part strategies and BOMs.
• Maintain instrument data sheets, P&IDs and PFDs.
• Provide training and guidance to technicians for installation, calibration, troubleshooting, replacement, and integration of instruments in control networks.
• Develop and implement life cycle programs for instruments, networks and I/O devices.
• Support implementation and improvements of control narratives in coordination with operations and process automation.
• May evaluate and manage contracts with vendors for services and equipment.
• Performs other duties as required.
