Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Senior Planner in Reston, VA to lead schedule development for North American projects from proposal through execution. You will develop, maintain, and monitor schedules, apply unit hour data, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 8–14 years of relevant experience; proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Office; and strong communication skills to work with management and clients.

• Proficient with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to management and clients.
• Ability to lead scheduling efforts and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Experience on large-scale power/energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepares schedule data for proposals or negotiations.
• Maintains schedule for a specific discipline area.
• Performs schedule development including WBS and activity durations.
• Monitors schedule performance and updates.
• Develops critical path reports and metrics.
• Identifies critical activities affecting schedules.
• Monitors subcontractor schedules.
• Evaluates subcontractor schedules for improvements.
