Job summary

Marotta Controls, Inc. in Montville, NJ is seeking a Planner II (Commercial Space Systems).

This full-time role focuses on planning and scheduling materials to support production and development work orders, managing MRP and non-MRP requirements, and ensuring timely release of work orders. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree (preferred), 4+ years in planning/scheduling in fast-paced manufacturing, experience with Kanban/LEAN, MRP systems, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years in planning/scheduling in fast-paced manufacturing.
• Experience with supporting production cells and Kanban replenishment (preferred).
• LEAN principles and Kanban inventory management experience (preferred).
• Experience with MRP systems and planning activities.
• Strong communication, written and verbal for multi-level interactions.
• MS Office proficiency and knowledge of applicable systems and equipment.
• U.S. citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule work orders.
• Release requisitions to purchasing on a timely basis.
• Manage work order material flow from start to finish.
• Address component shortages to resolution.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, purchasing and management.
• Develop and communicate daily production schedules and KPI publishing.
• Own production orders from start to finish and resolve discrepancies.
