Job summary

Marotta Controls in Parsippany, NJ seeks an Engineer II - Mechanical for commercial space systems. You design products to meet customer specs, handle BOMs, drawings, and development tests, and coordinate with engineers, suppliers, and customers.

You’ll ensure documentation accuracy, manage design changes, and support ISO 9000 processes while traveling up to 20% and communicating issues to leadership. The role offers strong compensation, premium benefits, and pathways to advanced responsibilities

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering required.
• 2–5 years of design experience with valves and fluid control devices preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls.
• Solid analytical skills: stress, heat transfer, fluid flow.
• Must obtain/maintain security clearance; US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the creation of a preliminary bill of materials and verify accuracy.
• Create development testing requirements, testing instructions, and release drawings for development hardware.
• Manage customer-driven changes and assess program impact.
• Ensure drawings/documents accuracy, including tolerances.
• Communicate technical and schedule issues to management when applicable.
• Oversee design control per ISO 9000; supervise engineering personnel as needed.
