Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Planner in Brownfields Redevelopment & Implementation to join the Infrastructure practice in Florida. You will lead redevelopment projects, manage EPA grant work plans, budgets, and reporting, and develop implementation roadmaps that guide sites from concept to construction and community benefit across multiple locations.

The role is client-facing and requires coordinating with environmental, planning, economic development, engineering, and design teams, mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Urban and Regional Planning or related field.
• 8+ years of brownfields redevelopment, environmental planning, or related project management experience.
• AICP, PLA, or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a client-facing project manager for brownfields redevelopment and implementation projects.
• Manage EPA brownfields grants work plans, budgets, schedules, reporting, and consultant coordination.
• Develop redevelopment strategies linking land use, infrastructure, environment, and community priorities.
• Move projects from vision to actionable implementation, including funding pursuits and partner coordination.
• Coordinate with environmental, planning, economic development, engineering, and design teams to advance outcomes.
• Lead or support community engagement, public meetings, and stakeholder interviews.
• Identify risks and schedule issues to maintain momentum and project delivery.
• Mentor junior staff and clarify project goals and client expectations.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and project teams to support goals.
