Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Planner for Brownfields Redevelopment & Implementation to join our Florida-based Infrastructure team. You’ll help transform contaminated sites into catalytic community assets, managing EPA grants, funding strategies, and stakeholder engagement.

The role supports projects across Florida with potential spread to other states. It emphasizes delivery from planning through construction, with mentorship of junior staff and ongoing client collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Urban and Regional Planning or related field.
• 8+ years of brownfields redevelopment or related project management experience.
• AICP, PLA, or similar professional certification is preferred.
• Experience with EPA brownfields grants and redevelopment funding.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a client-facing project manager for brownfields redevelopment and implementation projects.
• Manage EPA brownfields grants, including work plans, budgets, schedules, and reporting.
• Develop redevelopment strategies linking land use, infrastructure, environmental conditions, and funding.
• Lead community engagement and public meetings for municipal clients and partners.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver outcomes.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and project teams.
