Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Associate to manage the compliance and governance of US Health and Welfare plans. You will ensure benefits follow all applicable laws and plan documents while keeping a forward-looking eye on new legislation.

You will work across teams to keep our plans well-managed, protecting the company while ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for our associates. The role involves leading regulatory filings, audits, documentation, and incident management with HR

Qualifications

• Experience with US health and welfare benefits compliance.
• Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, MHPAEA and related regulations.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functionally with HR Risk, Legal and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory filings for H&W plans (Form 5500, SARs, parity reviews).
• Lead Section 125 and 105(h) nondiscrimination testing processes.
• Audit TPAs and carriers for compliance with plan terms and SLAs.
• Develop and maintain plan documentation, notices and SPD/SMM content.
• Support HIPAA compliance and manage BAAs and breach response.
