Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior PKI Security Engineer to provide operational, engineering, and project support for an enterprise PKI environment. You will manage certificate lifecycles, drive PKI service improvements, lead incident response, and coordinate cross-team initiatives in a virtual, dispersed setting.

This remote, contract role requires w2 work arrangements and offers medical/dental/vision, 401k with match, and life insurance. Rate: $60.00 to $68.00/hr on a W2 basis.

Qualifications

• Senior PKI Security Engineer with expert PKI, certificates and encryption experience.
• Experience managing certificate lifecycles and PKI services, incident response, and cross-team coordination in distributed environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage issuance and lifecycle of public CA certificates.
• Register and manage domains and validation processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve PKI and certificate issues.
• Monitor PKI incident queues and coordinate resolutions.
• Lead changes in PKI and certificate environments.
• Lead disaster recovery exercises for PKI and certificates.
• Analyze and implement PKI, certificate, and security solutions.
• Drive improvements by analyzing data trends and root causes.
• Perform capacity planning and maintenance for high availability.
• Apply DevOps practices to daily workflows and automation.
• Contribute to PKI/certificate projects and translate business needs to tech solutions.
• Represent Crypto Services on global incident calls and with stakeholders.
• Communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
