Modigent is seeking a Superintendent - Piping/Fabrication to lead field operations on commercial mechanical projects in Atlanta. You\'ll oversee crews, ensure code-compliant piping for HVAC, plumbing, and process systems, and coordinate fabrication workflows from shop to site.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes safety, scheduling, quality control, and collaboration with other trades. The right candidate has 7+ years in piping fabrication/installation, plus 3+ years supervising teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in piping fabrication/installation for commercial projects, including 3+ years supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or GED; trade certifications (e.g., welding, pipefitting) preferred.
• Field/shop-based; manual tasks with lifting up to 50 lbs; OSHA regulations and PPE required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise fabrication, welding, assembly, and installation of piping systems per blueprints, specs, and codes.
• Manage shop and field crews, scheduling, material staging, and tool readiness.
• Enforce safety protocols, hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and PPE compliance.
• Coordinate with other trades, subcontractors, and project managers for sequencing and conflict resolution.
• Perform quality inspections, pressure testing, and handover documentation.
• Troubleshoot fabrication/installation issues, optimize workflows, and minimize waste.
• Mentor pipefitters, welders, and fabricators on best practices and safety.
