Job summary

Modigent is seeking a Superintendent - Plumbing to oversee plumbing system installations on commercial projects, lead crews, ensure code-compliant fixtures, piping, and drainage, and coordinate with trades to keep schedules.

In this field-based role, you’ll enforce safety, mentor apprentices, manage material deliveries, conduct tests, and document work while upholding our people-first culture across nationwide projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in commercial plumbing installation.
• 3+ years supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or GED; plumbing license/certification preferred.
• Field-based work with lifting 50+ lbs and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation of plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, drains, and medical gas (if applicable) per plans and codes.
• Manage crew assignments, material deliveries, and daily progress to meet schedule milestones.
• Enforce safety standards, perform job hazard analyses, and lead toolbox talks.
• Coordinate with other trades for sequencing and conflict avoidance.
• Conduct inspections, testing (pressure/hydrostatic), and punch list resolution.
• Troubleshoot issues, ensure compliance with plumbing codes, and document work.
• Mentor plumbers and apprentices on techniques, safety, and best practices.
