Job summary

Our client in Atlanta is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Superintendent to lead commercial mechanical construction projects. You will supervise crews, coordinate field operations, manage schedule milestones, and ensure safety and quality while serving as the primary on-site representative.

You should bring 10+ years in commercial mechanical construction, strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and equipment startup, plus the ability to read drawings and coordinate multiple trades.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial mechanical construction.
• Proven leadership and field management skills.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and sheet metal.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for commercial mechanical projects.
• Supervise crews and subcontractors; manage site logistics.
• Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, and trades.
• Develop short-term and look-ahead schedules.
• Ensure installations meet drawings, specs and milestones.
• Promote safety, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce OSHA standards.
• Close out activities including punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
