Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies is seeking a field‑oriented Superintendent/Construction Manager for a travel‑heavy field assignment. You will supervise craft and subcontractor teams, ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence, and provide technical direction for installation and commissioning activities.

You will develop look‑ahead plans, coordinate with engineers and subcontractors, and support cost controls while maintaining daily logs and project records.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience as a Superintendent or Construction Manager on equivalent projects.
• Valid Driver's License.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR).
• Construction Management or Engineering degree preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CPM schedule and track project progress.
• Coordinate with craft/subcontractor supervision and field engineers.
• Provide technical direction to direct hire workforce and subcontractor supervision.
• Develop and monitor 3 Week Look Ahead Schedule.
• Ensure safety, quality, schedule, and contract compliance on site.
• Maintain daily site logs and manage reporting on progress and costs.
• Lead meetings with foremen and subcontractors to plan daily/weekly work.
• Assist with RFMPs/WAs and CIR responses as required.
