Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior engineer to lead piping analysis and comparisons against ASME B31.1 and B&PV Section III. The role requires strong leadership, project planning, and the ability to coordinate across disciplines on complex design tasks.

Ideal candidates will have a MS in a relevant field, 5+ years of experience, and hands-on experience with ANSYS Workbench and ADPL. The role offers a competitive compensation package and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• MS in Mechanical Engineering or related ABET-accredited program.
• Five or more years of relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Section III piping codes.
• Knowledge of the design, selection, and application of pipe supporting elements.
• Experience with ANSYS Workbench and Mechanical ADPL.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides senior level technical analysis and supervision to the project team members.
• Establishes project task schedules and budgets for the discipline.
• Coordinates activities between disciplines and with the client.
• Lead engineers support design projects with complex calculations and reviews.
• Prepare and review piping system/structural designs for completeness and operability.
• Review major system, installation, and material specifications and vendor submittals.
• Participate in bid evaluations and change orders as needed.
• Prepare and review single-discipline and multi-discipline reports.
