Job summary

Antares is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the design, analysis, and integration of high-temperature, high-pressure PCS piping within the Power Conversion System.

The role requires extensive experience in piping stress analysis, ASME codes, and collaboration with thermal, mechanical, and systems engineers to optimize configurations and ensure manufacturability. Location is Torrance, CA with a strong emphasis on fabrication and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years for Senior level; 8+ years for Staff.
• Experience designing high-temperature and/or high-pressure piping systems.
• Proficiency in piping stress analysis, including thermal expansion & nozzle loads, and familiarity with ASME codes.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, layout, and mechanical integration of PCS piping systems.
• Perform piping stress and structural analyses under thermal expansion, transient, and fatigue loading.
• Evaluate piping loads on turbomachinery, heat exchangers, vessels, and supports.
• Develop detailed piping designs, calculations, specifications, drawings, and fabrication docs per ASME codes.
