Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a senior piping engineer to provide technical direction on complex piping analyses and to guide project teams through design, calculations, and reviews.

Key responsibilities include coordinating design interfaces, approving system designs, and preparing technical specifications and vendor submittals while ensuring quality and operability in accordance with ASME codes.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program with emphasis in solid mechanics and structural analysis.
• 10+ years of relevant piping engineering experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME BPV Section III piping codes.

Responsibilities

• Reviews complex calculations and provides technical guidance to project teams.
• Reviews and approves simple and complex system/structural designs for quality and operability.
• Coordinates interfaces between design and engineering and participates in design reviews.
• Prepares and reviews major system specifications, installation scopes, and vendor submittals.
