Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and optimize facility piping systems, size components, and update drawings and specifications.

You will perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal and stress analyses, and support safety reviews, procurement evaluations, field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting under senior staff. The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering and at least two years of hands-on piping experience, with familiarity with codes and drafting

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field plus at least two years of hands-on piping/ fluid systems experience.
• Experience with equipment sizing, pressure-drop calculations, pipe-stress concepts, codes, and safety practices.
• They must be able to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize facility piping systems and size mechanical components.
• Prepare and update drawings and specifications.
• Perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal, and stress analyses.
• Support safety and quality reviews, procurement evaluations, factory acceptance tests, field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting under the guidance of senior staff.
