Job summary

ADM is seeking a Senior Mechanical Piping Engineer for on-site work at its Overland Park, KS campus. The role leads piping system design, engages with project teams, and ensures projects meet scope, budget, and schedule.

Candidates need a BS in mechanical engineering, 10+ years of experience, and a PE license (or ability to obtain within 2 years). Proficiency with AutoCAD, FEA PIPE-FLOW, Codeware Inspect, and AutoPipe is required. Relocation or travel minimal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within 2 years.
• Proven experience leading and managing engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, FEA PIPE-FLOW, Codeware Inspect, AutoPipe.
• Experience with ASME, ANSI, API, and PIP codes.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of piping systems for industrial projects.
• Perform engineering calculations to ensure integrity and safety.
• Develop and review P&IDs, isometrics, and technical docs.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, PMs, and clients.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and compliance.
• Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and codes.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Stay updated with latest piping design trends.
• Support resource allocation with department manager.
• Maintain lessons learned register.
• Develop department standards for consistency and quality.
