Job summary

Holtec is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to lead the development and delivery of complete piping systems for SMR projects. You will coordinate activities from P&IDs through layout, stress analysis, materials, welding, procurement, and construction, ensuring interfaces across disciplines are resolved.

Eligibility requires work authorization under 10 CFR Part 810. The role offers competitive compensation and benefits, with hybrid work options where eligible.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of piping experience on water, steam, and gas systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of piping codes (ASME B&PV, B31.1 and B31.3).
• Demonstrated experience coordinating complete piping systems from design through fabrication and installation.
• Experience performing technical bid evaluations and vendor management.
• Knowledgeable about pipe stress analysis and pipe support design.
• Eligible to work in accord with Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810; PE license preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development and delivery of complete piping systems for SMR projects.
• Integrate piping activities from P&IDs through layout, stress analysis, and supports.
• Collaborate with materials, welding, procurement, and construction teams.
• Review isometric drawings and vendor documentation; manage technical issues with vendors.
• Lead interdisciplinary piping design reviews and resolve interfaces across disciplines.
• Support construction from planning to installation and turnover.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
