Job summary

AVEVA is seeking a Technical Support Senior Engineer - Pipeline Simulation to provide local and regional technical support for Pipeline Simulation products. The role involves troubleshooting, reproducing complex issues, documenting defects, and delivering customer training.

Expect travel for training and site visits, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and collaboration with Development. Required are a BS degree in engineering, 5-10 years in pipeline simulation, and programming

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Petroleum Engineering or higher.
• 5-10 years of experience in pipeline simulation.
• Experience with software application support or deployment in the Oil & Gas / Pipeline industry.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and hydraulic behavior.
• Programming experience (e.g., C++, Fortran) and basic networking knowledge are beneficial.
• Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills. Other languages a plus (mainly Portuguese and Spanish).
• Ability to travel 5%-15% of the time, if required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide local and regional technical support for Pipeline Simulation products.
• Troubleshoot complex software issues and reproduce customer problems.
• Document support issues and defects in tracking tools with replication steps.
• Provide quick turnaround based on priority; escalate where needed.
• Deliver customer training and teach Intermediate and Custom level courses.
• Travel to customer sites for training, troubleshooting, or meetings.
