Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in North America to lead pipeline and facilities engineering efforts. You will mentor teams, shape technical solutions, and drive project delivery from FEED through startup across gas, LNG, RNG, and hydrogen facilities.

Ideal candidates bring deep technical knowledge and a track record of collaborating with clients, regulators, and project teams to improve safety, reliability, and performance of energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
10+ years delivering natural gas, liquids, hydrogen, LNG, RNG, and/or energy infrastructure projects.
Experience with interstate pipeline projects and regulatory processes (FERC/PHMSA).
Strong understanding of pipeline design, facility engineering, project delivery, and construction.
Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage clients.

Responsibilities

Serve as a senior technical lead for pipeline and facilities projects.
Guide project development through FEED, detailed design, construction support, and startup.
Review calculations and design documentation; set engineering standards and quality practices.
Support project planning, schedules, staffing, and risk management.
Mentor engineers, participate in design reviews, and advise clients on technical solutions.
