Job summary

Tetra Tech Inc. is seeking a Mid-Senior Pipeline and Facilities Design Engineer to support pipeline, pump station, and terminal projects across multiple states including CO, MT, and WY. You will contribute design expertise, develop PFDs and P&IDs, and drive detailed drawings from concept through construction.

Ideal candidates bring FE with ABET training, strong standards knowledge (ASME B31.4/B31.8, CFR), and leadership skills for a multidisciplinary team. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering program with 5–15+ years of relevant experience.
• FE exam completed or in progress preferred.
• PE licensure preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• NCEES record preferred or willingness to attain licensure.
• Midstream Oil & Gas experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pipe routing and facility site layout.
• PFD and P&ID development for projects.
• Develop design drawings at 30%, 60%, 90%, IFB and IFC stages.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and MAOP assessments.
• Lead design reviews and coordinate with client teams.
• Oversee equipment sizing and specifications.
• Coordinate procurement activities and vendor data reviews.
• Ensure compliance with ASME B31.4, B31.8 and CFR standards.
