Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Senior Pipeline Engineer in Waltham, MA to lead technical efforts and support the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our gas transmission system.

You will guide field teams, apply CFR 192 standards, review pipeline projects, investigate failures, and contribute to project scope, budgeting, and documentation. The role requires collaboration across offices and field sites, with ~10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil preferred).
• 7+ years of engineering experience in pipeline/oil and gas.
• Understanding of CFR 192 and related industry standards.
• Experience with natural gas design, pipeline integrity, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to field teams while identifying opportunities to improve processes and day-to-day operations.
• Apply CFR 192, PHMSA requirements, company standards to support engineering decisions, material selection, testing and safe operations.
• Review projects, pipeline crossings, encroachments, and gas-handling plans to manage risk and protect integrity.
• Investigate equipment failures and reliability issues; develop practical engineering solutions.
• Support project scope development, budget planning, audits, technical documentation, and information requests.
• Share engineering expertise across regional teams and provide timely technical support during emergencies.
