Qualifications

• PhD in Optics, Physics, or Electrical Engineering.
• 6+ years of PIC design experience.
• 4+ years’ experience with optical/photonic systems.
• U.S. Person status required (citizenship, permanent resident, or eligible work status).
• National security constraints require U.S. citizenship when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a team of physicists and optical engineers supporting the development of commercial and research systems for quantum computing.
• Design and develop integrated photonic components and systems to deliver and manipulate light.
• Collaborate across disciplines to define systems and requirements for quantum computing demonstrations.
• Gather technical requirements, turn them into action plans, and ensure components meet requirements.
• Design novel integrated photonic components to meet challenging specifications.
• Layout test PICs and coordinate with fabrication and test teams to validate performance.
• Lead PIC development and coordinate with external vendors for timely demonstrations.
