Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California (Roseville) is seeking a Senior Physician Assistant to provide high-quality, efficient, team-based patient care under the supervision of a physician. Responsibilities span office, hospital, ED and perioperative settings with potential First Assist duties and on-call support.

Responsibilities include performing exams, orders and interpretations of diagnostic tests, and developing patient management plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years previous experience as a physician assistant.
• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program.
• Physician Assistant License (California) required at hire.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.
• Basic Life Support.
• Physician Assistant National Certificate required at hire.
• Fluoroscopy Permit required, or must be obtained within 18 months from hire in Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, and Radiation Oncology.

Responsibilities

• Practice as part of a team under the supervision of a physician.
• Examinations, order and interpret tests, and develop patient management plans.
• Assist in surgeries or perform procedures as applicable.
• Provide pre- and post-operative education and discharge planning.
• Support on-call responsibilities and inpatient rounding as needed.
