Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California's San Francisco campus seeks a Senior Physician Assistant to join a team-based clinical environment under a supervising physician. You will manage patients across office, hospital, ED and perioperative settings, with potential first assist in the OR and on-call duties as needed.

Applicants must have an ARC-PA accredited PA program, CA PA license, NPI, and BLS; PANCE certification is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years experience as a physician assistant within the last five years.
• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program.
• California PA license required at hire, NPI and BLS, PANCE certification.
• Fluoroscopy permit required or to be obtained within 18 months in relevant departments.

Responsibilities

• Practice as part of a team under the supervising physician.
• Examine patients, order diagnostics, interpret results, and manage care plans.
• Perform injections, suturing, wound care and other procedures as needed.
• First assist in surgeries and perioperative duties when applicable.
• Instruct and mentor less experienced PAs; participate in on-call duties as required.
• Ensure discharge planning, patient education, and care continuity.
