Job summary

CDW is seeking a Senior Consulting Engineer to join its team to plan, design, implement, and support physical security systems for clients. You will work with account managers, architects, and customers to deliver secure, scalable solutions across video surveillance, access control, sensors, and integrations.

You will bring hands-on Genetec or Verkada engineering experience and 5+ years delivering complex technical solutions; willingness to travel up to 50% and strong client communication are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years delivering complex technical solutions (planning, development, implementation, support) OR 9+ years experience.
• Hands-on Genetec or Verkada Systems Engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• 2+ years in infrastructure/network environments; LANs/WANs design and security practices.
• Milestone/Genetec/Verkada/Axis/Meraki certification or experience is a plus.
• 1 year programming or analytical work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement, and support Physical Security Systems.
• Develop and implement the technical architecture and network design.
• Set up, configure, and test security systems (video surveillance, access control, sensors).
• Troubleshoot and upgrade hardware/software issues; provide solutions.
• Support Account Managers during sales by educating customers on new technologies.
• Manage projects using CDW methodologies and lifecycle processes.
• Interface with technical and business staff; act as technical POC on engagements.
• Create and execute test plans to meet project requirements.
