Job summary

Xcel Energy seeks an experienced Regulatory Compliance Leader to shape and coordinate physical security policies across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. This role focuses on the SPS territory in western Texas and eastern New Mexico, working with regulators and internal teams to ensure comprehensive regulatory compliance.

The position requires a four-year degree, 10+ years in industrial security, 8 years in regulatory project management, and the ability to obtain a federal security

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of industrial security experience in a corporate setting with energy sector knowledge.
• 8 years of regulatory project management experience meeting Federal/State/Local mandates.
• CPP certification preferred.
• Must qualify for and obtain a Federal government security clearance.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and travel.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate physical security regulatory programs and policies across Federal, State and local mandates.
• Identify regulatory impacts on facilities from state to national perspectives and address gaps.
• Interact with regulators and stakeholders to advance company policies and initiatives.
• Advocate company positions in regulatory proceedings, hearings and rulemaking.
• Perform field inventory of security technologies to ensure compliance and assist investigations.
• Coordinate regulatory filings and audits with internal departments and ensure documentation.
