Job summary

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey seeks a Physical Plant Manager for the Lincoln Tunnel. This role directs 24/7 maintenance operations, oversees environmental, hazardous waste, and sanitation programs, and drives Major Works Programs alongside Asset Management and Engineering staff.

You will manage the Facilities budget, supervise the Assistant Physical Plant Manager, and coordinate with the PABTR construction site in the Lincoln Tunnel area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline required.
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated management or supervisory experience in a maintenance or construction environment.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• Probationary periods completed and performance standards met.

Responsibilities

• Directs 24/7 maintenance activities and supervises maintenance staff.
• Oversees facility improvements, capital projects, and infrastructure activities.
• Manages the Physical Plant Unit budget of $26M in 2026 and overtime within budget.
• Leads security initiatives and asset management for Lincoln Tunnel facilities.
