The Port Authority of NY & NJ seeks an Assistant Manager for Physical Plant and Maintenance to lead maintenance, environmental, and construction programs at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. You will supervise staff, manage contracts, and oversee budgets while coordinating with project management and engineering teams.

Responsibilities include evaluating maintenance systems, developing proposals, and ensuring projects stay on time and within budget. Remote work up to one day per week is permitted.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Demonstrated experience managing major facility maintenance programs OR designing or constructing building infrastructure systems.

Responsabilidades

• Direct a wide variety of maintenance activities including overall facility maintenance and supervision of staff.
• Evaluating maintenance systems and data and related reports.
• Coordinate infrastructure renewal activities and capital projects with Project Management, Asset Management and Engineering Staff.
• Managing the Maintenance Unit’s budget.
• Coordinate all physical plant activities with project management, engineering, other departments, and outside agencies for construction projects.
• Oversight of multiple projects including in-house construction by maintenance staff.
• Develop project proposals including scope of work and budget for review and approval.
• Monitor project progress for milestone completion and ensure expenditures are within budget.
• Establish and monitor performance objectives for designated staff.
• Support tenant operations and assist with Port Authority Bus Terminal replacement efforts.
