Job summary

Meta's Silicon Engineering team is building custom silicon to power VR/AR devices. As a Physical Design Engineer you will translate RTL designs into optimized silicon implementations, covering floorplanning, CTS, routing, and sign-off to deliver high-performance, power-efficient chips for VR/AR wearables.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in physical design of complex digital ASICs or SoCs
• Experience with CTS, routing, DRC/LVS/antenna sign-off
• Experience with 7nm or below process nodes and EDA tools

Responsibilities

• Lead physical implementation from floorplanning through tapeout, including placement and CTS
• Define and drive physical design methodology to meet power, performance and area targets
• Perform static timing analysis and timing closure across process corners
• Develop power delivery networks and IR drop analysis
• Collaborate with RTL designers to influence microarchitecture and floorplan decisions
• Support DFT and testability requirements in physical implementation
• Drive sign-off including DRC, LVS and antenna checks
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in timing, congestion and power
• Improve internal physical design flows and automation
