OpenLight Photonics Inc. is seeking a hands-on test engineer to design and implement wafer-level test solutions for Silicon Photonics devices and PICs.

The role focuses on developing custom test hardware and automation software, with a strong emphasis on optical and RF testing and calibration. The ideal candidate has a physics or electrical engineering background, hands-on lab experience, and proficiency in Python.

Formación

• Experience designing and implementing test hardware for wafer-level testing.
• Hands-on lab/industry testing experience in photonics or electronics.
• Proficiency in Python for test automation and data analysis.
• Ability to create and review test procedures and calibration routines.

Responsabilidades

• Develop custom test hardware for wafer-level testing on automated wafer probers.
• Review and recommend potential equipment suppliers, write project proposals for key suppliers.
• Specify to suppliers the designs of custom PCBAs and probe cards.
• Specify test algorithms to be implemented in test automation code and review results.
• Proof of concept system design of alternative wafer test solutions.
• Calibrate optical and RF probe cards.
• Order and install additional test equipment and define test procedures.
• Optimize test throughput and accuracy.
• Review test results for accuracy and debugging failures.
• Operate test stations for prototype runs and hand off production testing to OSAT partners.
• Test automation software in C++ or Java, test analysis software in Python.
• Manage schedules for test execution and communicate results to internal/external customers.
