Job summary

Optum is seeking a Senior Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture, collect specimens, and conduct waived and moderate testing, including microscopy. The role includes EKGs and patient care in a fast-paced clinic environment.

You will work Monday–Friday, 6:45am–3:45pm, at the Kirkland, WA location, with regular scheduling by the Hiring Manager. A strong phlebotomy background and accurate record-keeping are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• WA MA-Pbt certification required for capillary/venous procedures.
• Phlebotomy certificate program completed.
• BLS (AHA) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• 1+ years of experience; strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; solid computer skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds; carry up to 24 pounds.
• 40-hour work week; Mon-Fri 6:45am–3:45pm; holiday rotations.

Responsibilities

• Venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Perform waived and moderate complexity testing, including microscopy.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information and results.
• Perform EKGs and other services.
• Ensure supplies and rotate stock; follow SOW standards.
• Provide professional, compassionate patient interactions.
