Job summary

Optum in Mukilteo, WA, is seeking a Senior Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture, specimen collection, and waived/moderate testing (including microscopy) with EKGs in a patient‑care driven lab setting.

You will ensure accurate record keeping, quality control, and adherence to HIPAA and safety standards while delivering compassionate service. A phlebotomy certification and a high school diploma are required for this full‑time role with a 40‑hour week and a daytime to evening shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MA-Pbt phlebotomy certification required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy certificate program per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Collect and process specimens for testing and transport.
• Perform EKGs and waived/moderate testing.
• Maintain accurate patient records and QC procedures.
• Ensure proper safety and HIPAA compliance.
