Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years venipuncture experience.
• Experience labeling, centrifuging, and storing specimens.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing duties, troubleshooting, training, and workflow improvements.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles; follow physician orders.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Verify test requisitions against scripts for accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Store samples at required temperatures and label containers correctly.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Answer calls and relay lab results to inquiries.
