Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and blood draws with high accuracy.
• Collect, label, and store specimens per procedures and protocols.
• Explain the venipuncture process to patients to ensure comfort.
• Match requisitions to specimen tubes and verify accuracy.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
• Follow safety guidelines and interpret physician orders for tests.
• Update patient information and maintain lab records in LIS/EMR.
