Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist to assist with venipunctures, specimen labeling, and workflow improvements in a fast-paced lab environment.

The role requires a valid Phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. High school diploma or GED is required, with 2–4 years preferred.

You'll follow physician orders, ensure specimen integrity, and participate in annual department trainings, while maintaining OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed is required.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED with 2–4 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Understand all physicians' orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure correct temperature control.
