Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist II for Bastrop, TX, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The role offers a pay range of $24.50+ per hour with comprehensive benefits and potential performance bonuses.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, processing samples, data entry, and maintaining logs. Requires 3 years phlebotomy experience and high school diploma; phlebotomy certification preferred in some regions.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test/client orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data as required.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required per policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and temperature logs.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
