Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Austin, TX seeks a Phlebotomist II to collect specimens and support lab operations. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with rotational weekends. Compensation starts at $24.50+ per hour plus potential annual bonus based on performance.

Position requires at least three years of phlebotomy experience, with high school diploma and English proficiency. On-site role with full-time benefits and growth opportunities within the team.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact; enter data accurately.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
