Job summary

Actalent in Warrenton, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to provide high-quality specimen collection and processing in a fast-paced patient service center and laboratory environment. You will perform venipuncture and handle specimens, ensuring accuracy of tests and maintaining compliance with OSHA/DEP regulations while delivering courteous patient service across pediatric to geriatric age groups.

The position is contract to hire and pays $20.00–$22.00 per hour, onsite in Warrenton.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Proven ability to perform venipuncture with straight and butterfly needles.
• Experience handling blood and other specimens per procedures.
• Strong attention to detail in labeling and matching requisitions.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced lab or patient service center.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood draws safely and efficiently.
• Collect, label, and store specimens per requirements.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort.
• Match requisitions to tubes and verify information.
• Package specimens for transport with proper temperature control.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Update patient data in systems.
• Assist with training and process improvements.
