The role requires a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, along with a high school diploma or GED. Schedule is 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures
• Properly explains the venipuncture process and other specimen collection (urine or fecal) requirements as needed
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required
• Check all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correct
• Package specimens for transport
• Store specimen samples according to required temperature and transport protocols
