Qualifications

• Phlebotomy expertise.
• Ability to work with LIS.
• Must provide own transportation for off-site collections.
• Previous clerical experience with telephone, fax, copier and office computer software preferred.
• Medical terminology course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates phlebotomy skills with speed, safety and accuracy on all patient types.
• Prioritizes, accessions, labels, and distributes specimens for testing to appropriate departments.
• Handles incoming calls with courtesy and efficiency.
• Maintains cleanliness and adequate supply stock in the work area.
