Job summary

Ashtabula Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist in the Laboratory to perform phlebotomy on diverse patient populations and to manage specimen processing and labeling for accurate lab testing.

The role requires 2–3 years in a hospital/clinical laboratory, ARMC phlebotomy certification or equivalent, and a valid driver's license for off-site collections as needed. A sign-on bonus of $1,500 is offered along with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy expertise required.
• Ability to work with LIS (Laboratory Information System).
• Clerical experience with phone, fax, copier and office software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy with speed, safety and accuracy for all patient types.
• Accessions, labels and distributes specimens to testing departments.
• Handle incoming calls with courtesy and efficiency.
• Maintain clean and stocked work area.
