Job summary

Atrium Health Cleveland - Lab is seeking a part-time phlebotomy technician to collect and process patient specimens, perform routine tests, and support registration and handling of specimens. The role requires accuracy, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work nights and weekends in a fast-paced clinical setting.

This PRN position covers various shifts with pay range $19.80 - $29.70 per hour and benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Ability to perform venipuncture and specimen handling with accuracy.
• Knowledge of safety, infection control and PPE procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collect and/or process patient blood specimens by venipuncture/capillary puncture.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and document results per standards.
• Register patients, prepare documentation, and assist in specimen transport.
• Maintain clean work area, inventory, and ensure proper labeling of specimens.
• Provide phone support and train new staff or students as needed.
