Job summary

Kiva is seeking a Manager, Strategic Partnerships to grow philanthropic support by cultivating donors and advising fund sponsors. You will manage a mid-level donor portfolio and collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to strengthen giving experiences and reporting.

The role emphasizes proposal development, donor communications, and events, with the option to work from home in the United States. Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• 5 years in nonprofit fundraising or strategic partnerships.
• Experience moving prospects toward philanthropic commitments.
• Familiarity with donor-advised funds and major gifts.
• Strong writing and editing to translate impact into proposals.
• Experience collaborating across functions and managing multiple projects.
• Comfort using a CRM like Salesforce to track activity and reports.
• Commitment to financial inclusion and Kiva values.

Responsibilities

• Individual and mid-level donor strategy and engagement (40%).
• Manage and cultivate relationships with mid-level and major-tier donors; tailor engagement plans.
• Develop engagement for donor-advised fund sponsors and gatekeeper professionals.
• Partner with teams to improve website journeys and donor communications.
• Represent Kiva in donor conversations and pursue thought leadership opportunities.
• Plan and deliver in-person and virtual donor events with SP team.
• Cross-functional partnership development (30%).
• Coordinate gift documentation with Finance and SP colleagues; track commitments.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve donor communications.
• Gather impact data and borrower stories; translate into proposals and reports.
• Maintain donor records and pipelines toward fundraising goals.
• Communications and marketing (30%).
• Coordinate donor messaging with Marketing; craft persuasive donor communications.
• Use results to improve outreach and strengthen calls to action.
