Job summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks an experienced Pharmacy Technician Lead to supervise and train staff, enforce protocols, and ensure inpatient and retail pharmacy remain fully functional. You will coordinate day-to-day operations, mentor technicians, and support competency assessments across shifts.

Under pharmacy leadership, you will assign tasks, track performance, lead technician projects, and help implement process improvements while maintaining strict compliance with hospital policies,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
• 4 years of relevant hospital or retail pharmacy experience; Level IV technician or equivalent experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and Vermont State Pharmacy Technician Registration required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor other pharmacy technicians.
• Ensure adherence to established protocols and policies.
• Train new technicians and assign tasks to keep operations functional.
• Oversee annual technician competency assessments and documentation.
• Lead technician-specific activities and projects.
• Oversee inpatient and/or retail pharmacy operations.
