The University of Rochester is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to lead the technician team in the hospital setting. You will oversee training, scheduling, and adherence to regulatory standards while supporting a licensed pharmacist.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma (Bachelor's preferred), a PTCB certification, and hospital pharmacy experience. You will drive performance, conduct evaluations, and ensure safe, efficient medication delivery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years of acute hospital pharmacy experience as a pharmacy technician, or relevant management experience required.
• Certification from a nationally accredited pharmacy technician program (PTCB) and maintain ongoing education requirements upon hire.
• NYS Pharmacy Technician Licensure and Registration preferred.

Responsabilités

• Leads pharmacy technician team and oversees training materials and supervision.
• Sets work schedules and evaluates performance of direct reports.
• Ensures compliance with state, federal and local regulations and that technician duties are performed under pharmacist supervision.
• Coordinates training for new technicians and manages ongoing competency assessments.
• Provides cross-coverage and participates in regulatory readiness activities.
